Tryon, North Carolina is a cool little town about forty miles south of Asheville. Kathy and I just returned from a very relaxed weekend at the Tryon Stone House, a granite and log house in the middle of Tryon, North Carolina.
We did not drive into Asheville, North Carolina to visit the Biltmore Mansion. We did not go white water rafting on the Nantahala River. We did not go visit any of the waterfalls that are all around the North Carolina foothills. We did not attend any of the equestrian events that were going on at Harmon Field. We did not visit Chimney Rock State Park or the Bat Cave. We could have. All of these things are right there to do.
All we did was hang out, sit on the front porch, drank a little Carolina moonshine and admire the smokey mountain view and enjoy each other and the Carolinas.
The North Carolina Stone House is available to rent weekly or daily from Blaze Realty at 828 859 5858 or can be seen at http://www.vrbo.com/361170.
