Andy Brown's First Day Teaching at The Climer School of Real Estate

“First Days” don’t happen very often. Tuesday, July 29th was my first full-time day as an instructor at The Climer School of Real Estate. It was fantastic.

"Andy Brown's first Florida Real Estate License class at The Climer School of Real Estate"

Ron Climer is officially a mentor of mine and I don’t choose mentors lightly. Ron is a master at not only of the Florida Real Estate Licensing instructing but also public speaking and storytelling. His natural style is my natural style. There is much that he can teach me, and he wants to start taking more vacations. It sounds like a match made in heaven. When I first walked in, Ron sat me down. He said, “When I heard that Andy Brown was interested in teaching with me and becoming a part of the Climer School, I smiled from ear to ear. I hope it’s true.” We are both past presidents of The Winter Park Toastmasters so you know that we like to talk. I am making copious notes of all of Ron’s jokes and stories and where he inserts them. Not to worry, I have plenty of my own that I am bringing to the table.

Why would I be blogging about this? This is one of the main reasons that The Climer School of Real Estate stands head and shoulders above the rest of the Real Estate Licensing schools in central Florida. You will never be bored or falling asleep because of the monotonous drone of the intstructor! First and foremost though, we give you the information that you will absolutely, positively need to know to pass the state of Florida Real Estate licensing exam. We don’t fool around with this.

The class is 60 hours long. That’s a long time to sit in one place and just listen to someone talk, even if it’s about your favorite topic or thing in the world. If you get bored or your mind starts to wander too much, you would be missing out on getting the information that you’ll need to pass the Florida Real Estate exam. On the other hand, if you are having a good time, enjoying yourself, you’ll feel refreshed and aware much more often, you will be paying much more attention, and you will be learning more and retaining more, maybe even in spite of yourself. This is why we have fun in the Real Estate class at the Climer School of Real Estate.

It was a thrill standing up at the podium at 8:00 in the morning, looking out at my class, mentally gearing up to bring the class to attention and begin the class my way. I had 40 students. Many schools have 6 or 8. I had 40 in my first full, start to finish class at the Climer School. Ron Climer is going to let me create some new classes at the school to stay with the times.

We will soon be offering a “What Do I Do Now? Class. It’s always been a pet peeve of mine that none of the state of Florida required, real estate classes for state licensure in anything prepare you for life in the real world after you get your license. They only prepare you to pass the state exam for licensure, to make you legal. There are so many newly licensed real estate sales agents, or “newbies”, that have no idea not only how to select a broker, but about what life is like as a working, professional real estate agent. I want them to know. The Climer School’s upcoming new class will be a full, day long class informing them of everything that they will need to know to prepare to become very successful. I’ll be blogging more about this new class in the very near future.

The Climer School of Real Estate will be offering the full, live in seats, Florida Sales Pre License class in Spanish! We can’t wait. We feel that it is an important need that has unfortunately been ignored. Did you know that you can sit for and take the state exam in Spanish? Spanish textbooks are available as well. We are also developing a Spanish language online class. We will soon have tutorial videos in spanish on our Youtube channel, the ClimerSchool, https://www.youtube.com/user/climerschool/videos.

Back to my first day. It was exciting, exhilarating, nervousness creating, and so much fun. We had a blast. And we will continue to have a blast. The Climer School of Real Estate in Orlando, Florida is the cheapest and least expensive, and the best, and the most informative, and the most fun real estate license school in all of Orlando and central Florida. And we are going to stay the way.

Finishing up that first day, seeing the smiles on those 40 faces, knowing that I had become a small part of affecting and changing their lives, made me feel better than I have in a very, very long time. I knew that I had chosen the right school and legacy to hitch my wagon to. I can’t wait for the future. You should feel the same way. Andy Brown www.ClimerRealEstateSchool.com

The Florida Real Estate Exam, Analyzing The Questions Correctly

Many people tell me that all four of the choices for the questions on the Florida real estate exam seem correct or all four choices seem incorrect.  You need to learn to analyze the question choices on the Florida real estate exam.  Is the choice true or false.

A student called me yesterday to ask about a question that he encountered on the Florida real estate exam.  The question was about the fair housing act.  When students explain questions to me, I never know if they have the question right or close to right.  The student tells me that the question states," Mr. Real Estate Agent shows a house to an African American prospect in an African American neighborhood in central Florida. The prospect asks a question.   The real estate agent  can assume...........? "

     A. The prospect wants to be in an African American neighborhood.
     B. The prospect does not want to be in a African American neighborhood.
     C. The prospect is concerned about the ethnicity of the neighborhood.
     D.  The prospect likes the architectural style of the house.

It is important that you read the Florida real estate exam question carefully.  It is important that you understand the question.  The question is:  what can the real estate agent assume?  The exam question stated that the prospect asked a question.  We don't know what that question was.   Our question is what can the salesman assume.

     A. If the real estate salesman assumes that the prospect wants to be in an African American neighborhood, he is steering.  This is a violation of the Fair Housing Act. This choice is wrong.
     B.  If the real estate agent assumes that the prospect does not want to be in an African American neighborhood, he is steering.  This is a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1968.  This choice is wrong.
     C.  If the real estate salesman assumes the prospect is concerned about the ethnicity of the neighborhood, he is steering.  This is a violation of Fair Housing Act.  This choice is wrong.
     D. It would be OK for the real estate salesman to assume that the prospect likes the architectural style of the house.  This is not a violation of any law.  This is the best answer.

As we read this and other questions we wish we could ask questions like," What did the prospect ask?".  We wish we could but we can't.  A smart test taker will not add or subtract to the questions on the Florida real estate exam.  Everything on the Florida real estate exam depends on the choices.  You can't write in an answer.  You have to go with the choices. It is not like one answer is dead right and three are dead wrong.  Which is the best answer?

As you read the question, make sure you understand the question.  Carefully read the choices and ask yourself,"Is this choice true or false?".  If it is false, it can not be the right answer.

The more you know, the easier it is to discern the wrong answers.  If you would like to practice before you go spend $31.50 taking your Florida real Estate exam at Pearson Vue in central Florida, take the practice test on my website at www.climerrealestateschool.com .  This is free, easy, effective and painless.  If you are taking the Florida real estate exam soon, why would you pass on this.  If you are taking the Florida real estate exam for the second time, be sure to know all the stuff that is on that sheet Pearson Vue gave you about frequently  missed questions.  If you are taking the Florida real estate exam soon, watch all eleven of my free real estate math videos on You Tube.  My user name is Climer School.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-J6kid1FTs&feature=c4-overview&list=UUyBcLU3Ccx-ZxAyemcXWd1w   A lady called me recently and told me she had failed the Florida real estate exam three times.  She made a 73,72, and a 74.  The best she had done was on the math was six out of ten.  She said she watched my free math videos.  She said she only watched the ones if the problems I was teaching looked familiar from the Florida real estate exam.  The link above is
a new problem on the new Florida real estate exam.

I Wish I Had Found Your Real Estate School First

When I answer the phone at Climer School of Real Estate, I hear this a lot.  I talk to people that are trying to pass the Florida real estate exam.  They say to me,"I wish I had found you first"  What they did find was an online real estate school that is in another state and specializes in all fifty states.  They have learned a lot of stuff.  It just isn't the stuff that is on the Florida real estate exam.
At Climer School of Real Estate, I teach exactly what is on the Florida real estate exam.  I don't teach anything except what is on the Florida real estate exam.  If you want to learn about short sales or how to earn money investing in rental property, my class is not for you.  If you want to learn what is on the Florida real estate exam, there is no better place to learn it than my class.

You have to take FREC course one somewhere.  Take it from me.  This is all you need to pass the Florida real estate exam.  How do I know this is true?  I have had hundreds of students leave my FREC 1 class and go pass the Florida real estate exam.  Here is one of those students on this video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQkyITKFtrc

Usually, when I meet people telling me that they wish they met me sooner, it is people that took their FREC 1 course somewhere else and now they are looking for help to pass the Florida real estate exam.

When they start looking for help with the Florida real estate exam, they find my real estate math videos on You Tube.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-J6kid1FTs&feature=c4-overview&list=UUyBcLU3Ccx-ZxAyemcXWd1w  The videos are free.  The real estate math problems on the videos are on the Florida real estate exam.  There are eleven free videos.  If you are taking the state exam soon, watch them all.

After watching the videos, many people call Kathy at 407 822 3926 and ask her about the Exam Manual.  This book is the best study aid available for passing  the Florida real estate exam.  This book was written by Linda Crawford.  Linda is a real estate instructor at the University of Florida.  When you fail the Florida real estate exam, they give you a breakdown of what is on the exam.  It looks a lot like the table of contents in the exam manual.

If you want to pass the Florida real estate exam, you have to study Florida stuff.  If you find us first, we will teach you what is on the Florida real estate exam. Contact us at www.climerrealestateschool.com

A Central Florida Real Estate School

A real estate school in central Florida is a good place to start your real estate career.  To start your real estate career in central Florida, the first thing you have to do is get your Florida real estate license.  In order to do that, you have to apply to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.  You can apply for your Florida real estate license online. The DBPR's website is www.myfloridalicense.com .

You also have to get your fingerprints taken.  At the DBPR's website, they will have a list of approved fingerprint vendors.  You can also find one on this video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHHAn4DRDiY

You also have to take a real estate course.  The best place to take that required course is Climer School of Real Estate in Orlando, Florida.  You can take that real estate course online or you can take it in a classroom. Taking your Florida real estate class in a classroom is best.  Sometimes, your schedule will not allow that.  If you must take your real estate course online, be certain that you take your online real estate course from a FLORIDA school.  Many real estate schools specialize in all fifty states.

The Florida real estate exam has a dismal pass rate.   http://ronclimer.blogspot.com/2013/04/florisda-real-estate-exam-dismal-pass.html  You need to learn what is on the Florida real estate exam from someone that knows what is on the Florida real estate exam.  You can read Climer School of Real Estate's Google reviews if you want to know about the quality of the instruction.

If we can help you get your Florida real estate license, contact us at www.climerrealestateschool.com .
