The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and Pearson Vue have released the Pass-Fail Performance Numbers for the July 2020 Florida Real Estate Sales Associate License and Broker License State Exams.

Fortunately, I receive the Pearson Vue, Bureau of Education and Testing Division of Real Estate’s Monthly Exam Performance Summary every month.

Unfortunately for many Real Estate license test takers the news is sad, yet again. The Passing rates are still low, and the Failure rates are still high. The only good news is that testing numbers are back up as they dropped down to ridiculously low numbers during the beginning of the COVID-19 Quarantine. You can verify these numbers on the DBPR and DRE website, http://www.myfloridalicense.com .

These numbers just continue to reinforce my beliefs that the state exam question writers are more interested in tricking test takers into a wrong answer than they are in testing their knowledge.

If it were up to me, this would change. But it is not up to me so I cannot. I continue to work with what they give me. However, this is the main reason why the Climer School of Real Estate is so much better than all the other real estate schools in the state of Florida. We are the only Real Estate school and class in Florida that teaches our students how to beat the state exam at its own game, not just to be an expert on the information in the book.

Florida Sales Associate License State Exam Performance Summary

In July of 2020, 2,767 individuals took the Florida Real Estate exam for the first time. Of this number, only 1,584 of them passed while 1,183 of them failed.

This is a passing rate of 57% and a failing rate of 43%.

2,079 people took the same Real Estate test for a second or for a repeated time. Only 742 of them passed while 1,337 of them failed.

This is a pass rate of 36% and a fail rate of 64%. Same as usual – low and bad.

Brokers License Exam Performance Summary

Brokers License test takers did not do much better. In July 2020, 207 hopefuls took the Florida broker’s license state test for the first time. Of this number, 123 of them passed and 84 of them failed.

This is a passing rate of 59% and a failing rate of 41%.

166 people took the Florida broker’s license state exam for a second or for a repeated time. Only 62 of them passed while 104 of them failed.

This is a pass rate of 37% and a fail rate of 63%.

We hope that the message is getting through. If you want to begin your real estate career, you need a Florida Real Estate License. This means that you must pass a difficult and tricky real estate license state exam. No one trains their students to pass their state exams better than the Climer School of Real Estate.

We have a full slate of real estate classes for those wishing to start their Real Estate Career in January 2018 at The Climer School of Real Estate.

Are you ready to start 2018 off the right way and get your Florida real estate license? The Climer School of Real Estate has plenty of classes for you. All of our classes are approved and sanctioned by the DBPR, the DRE, and the FREC. We are as 'accredited' as you can be in the Florida Real Estate Education Industry.

We just started the modified two-week class at our Oviedo campus yesterday. This class runs from 3 PM to 9:45 Tuesday through Friday of the first week, this week and Monday through Friday of next week. In fact, if you are reading this and you missed yesterday, Tuesday, you could still show up to the Oviedo campus today at 3 PM and legally begin the class. The state of Florida says you are allowed to miss eight hours and you have only missed six hours and 45 minutes.

A week and ½ class begins today at the main Orlando campus. This class runs from January 3 Wednesday through January 12 Friday and is from 9 AM in the morning to 4:30 PM in the afternoon. So the first week is Wednesday through Friday in the second week is Monday to Friday and your test is 6 PM January 15.

We have our first night in evening class of 2018 starting tomorrow night Thursday, January 4 at 6 PM. The night class runs for eight weeks Tuesdays and Thursday nights and ends on February 22. Your class exam is scheduled for February 27 6 PM.

We have another two-week class schedule at the main Orlando campus beginning Monday, January 15 and ending on Friday, January 26. This class runs Monday through Friday each week, from 9 AM in the morning to 3 PM in the afternoon. Your exam will be Monday night 6 PM January 29.

We are also very excited to announce a new Live Streaming class beginning Monday, January 15 and ending on Friday, January 26. This class will follow our standard two-week format and will run from 9 AM the morning to 3 PM the afternoon. Our Live Streaming classes have been extremely successful. You can be anywhere in the world as long as you have a good Internet connection, and you can take our real estate class with a live instructor. We also are lining up ‘hosting’ offices so if you’d like to be amongst other students in a warm and friendly environment, call us at 407-822-3926 and let us know where you are going to be. We will let you know if there is a housing office nearby.

We have a Spanish speaking Real Estate class beginning also on January 15 Monday and running through Friday, January 26. This class also falls our standard two-week format and run from 9 AM to 3 PM.

We have two 2-Day Sales Associate State Exam reviews scheduled in January. The first is Saturday and Sunday, January 13 and 14 and the second one is Saturday and Sunday, January 27 and 28. Remember if you register as a Climer School of real estate student than you have free access to this today exam review class for free until you pass your state exam.

It is renewal season again as many licenses expire on March 31, 2018. As such we will have post 45 licensing classes and Continuing Education classes in January and February and March.

We have a Post 45 class beginning on Monday, January 29 running through Friday, February 2 from 8 AM to 5 PM. And the best news is our Post 45 classes is at 2 locations. It is at Orlando campus and is at our Waterford Lakes campus. The Climer School of Real Estate has the best Post 45 class in Florida. It is not to be missed.

We are also having a 14-hour Continuing Education class at our Waterford Lakes campus on Saturday and Sunday, January 20 and 21st. We also have the best Continuing Education class in Florida.

I haven’t posted the pass fail rates in a few months but based on emails and comments, my blogs on that issue were very popular and I will be posting those monthly once again. 

In September of 2016, 2,641 people took the Florida Sales Associate Real Estate Exam for the first time. 1345 passed and 1296 failed. This is a 51% pass rate and a 49% fail rate. 2846 took it for a second or for a repeated time. 928 passed and 1918 failed. This is a 33% pass rate and a 67% failing rate. 

In October of 2016, 2659 people took this exam for the very first time. 1388 of them passed and 1271 of them failed. This is a 52% passing rate and a 48% failing rate. 2529 people took the exam for a second or a repeated time. 883 of them passed it and 1646 of them failed it. This is a 35% passing rate with a 65% failing rate. 

 It is amazing to me that the pass fail rate for this exam is so consistent month after month. 

Every single solitary month the pass fail rate for first time test takers remains between 48 to 52 % passing and 48 to 52 % failing while every single solitary month the pass fail rate for repeaters remains between 32 to 38 % passing and 62 to 68 % failing. 

The Brokers License Test Takers fared the same as always as well. In September of 2016, 22 people took the Florida Brokers License Real Estate Exam for the first time. 120 passed and 102 failed. This is a 54% pass rate and a 46% fail rate. 223 took it for a second or for a repeated time. 90 passed and 133 failed. This is a 40% pass rate and a 60% failing rate. 

In October of 2016, 216 people took this exam for the very first time. 110 of them passed and 106 of them failed. This is a 51% passing rate and a 49% failing rate. 22 people took the exam for a second or a repeated time. 87 of them passed it and 135 of them failed it. This is a 39% passing rate with a 61% failing rate. 

As an added extra, I want to tell you about the Division of Real Estate’s Investigative Reports and Trends for September 2016. The Division of Real Estate received 333 complaints in September of 2016. There are 494 cased under active investigation. There are 12 FREC investigative cases and there is a total of 34 Investigators. The DRE Investigation Unit inspected 13 offices in September and performed 3 Audits. 

 The Department of Business and Professional Regulation or The DBPR hates unlicensed activity more than everything else combined. There were 73 Unlicensed Activity complaints filed in September 2016. 25 of those were deemed legally sufficient. 17 investigations were completed. 11 Cease and Desist Orders were issued. 

 Lastly, just so you know, there were 173,747 Current Active Sales Associate licensees in September 2016 in Florida, 19,776 Current Active Broker Associates, and 40,024 Current Active Brokers. There are 765 Current Active Real Estate Instructors, 245 Inactive Real Estate Instructors, and 1 Real Estate Instructor who is on Probation. The class will be held August 15, 16, 18, 23, 25, and 26 from 8am-6pm. The practice final exam is on August 29.
