Understanding the September 2015 Florida Real Estate License Exam Performance Statistics

The Florida Real Estate License September 2015 Exam Performance Summary at Pearson Vue was released and published by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the Bureau of Education and Testing (BET).

Three thousand and forty nine (3049) people took the Florida Sales Associate Exam for the very first time. One thousand five hundred and sixty two (1562) passed and one thousand four hundred and eighty seven (1487) failed it. 

This is a passing rate of only fifty one percent (51%) and a failing rate of forty nine percent (49%). 

In September, three thousand one hundred and seventy three (3173) people took their Florida Sales Associate Exam for a second or for a repeated time. One thousand and seventy eight (1078) passed it and two thousand and ninety five (2095) failed it. 

This is an appalling passing rate of only thirty four percent (34%) and a failing rate of sixty six percent (66%). 

The Florida Real Estate Brokers did not do much better. Two hundred and forty eight people took their Florida Real Estate Brokers Exam for the very first time. Only one hundred and forty three (143) people passed this test while one hundred and five (105) people failed it. 

 This is a passing rate of fifty eight percent (58%) and a failing rate of forty two percent (42%). 

Two hundred and forty (240) people took the Florida Real Estate Brokers Exam for a second or for a repeated time. Eighty eight (88) passed it and one hundred and fifty two people (152) failed it. 

This is a passing rate of only thirty seven percent (37%) and a failing rate of sixty three percent (63%). 

The Florida Real Estate Instructor Applicants did not do well either. Seven (7) people took the Florida Real Estate instructors Exam for the first time. Only two (2) passed and five (5) failed. 

This is a pass rate of twenty nine percent (29%) and a fail rate of seventy one percent (71%). 

 Eight (8) people took this exam for a second or for a repeated time. Again, only two (2) people passed and six (6) people failed. 

This is a passing rate of twenty five percent (25%) and a failing rate of seventy five percent (75%). 

Why is this happening? It is because the state of Florida likes these numbers. 

They are very good at creating tricky wordy questions. If you want to pass your state exam, you have to become good at beating the tricky questions and good at beating the test makers and question writers at their own game.
