Florida Real Estate Exam, Pass Fail Rates for January 2014

Pearson Vue gave the Florida real estate exam to One thousand nine hundred and sixty people in January of 2014.  Eight hundred, ninety four passed.  One thousand, sixty six failed.  They all paid thirty one dollars and fifty cents for the experience.  That is a forty six per cent pass rate.

As a real estate instructor, I am often asked why the Florida real estate exam is so tough.  The test is not designed to be a picnic.  The Department of Business and Professional Regulation wants to make the test tough enough that they know that the applicant knows the laws of the state of Florida.

The reason fifty four per cent of the people that take the Florida real estate sales associate  exam fail is fifty four per cent of the applicants are not prepared.  Many people that go take the Florida real estate exam for the first time are totally surprised.  No one told them that the Florida real estate exam was tough.  Their real estate instructor did not tell them what to expect.  Their peers did not tell them.  They probably did not know either.  The sales manager at the real estate office did not tell them.  Let me tell you.  The Florida real estate exam is tough.  Do not underestimate this test.  If you are unprepared, get ready to be shocked.  Prepare.

Start by getting a copy of the "Candidate's Handbook" .  This little booklet has a outline of what is on the Florida real estate exam.  If you are soon taking the Florida real estate exam, you need this booklet.  If you don't have it, call Kathy at 407 822 3926.  She will send you a free copy of this valuable booklet.  If you have not read this article, read it before you go take the Florida real estate exam.  http://ronclimer.blogspot.com/2013/11/could-you-email-me-list-of-what-i.html   This will help.

At Climer School of Real Estate, we want to part of the solution to this problem.  We have posted twelve free real estate math videos on You Tube.  Our user name is Climer School.  It is  free.  It is as easy as I can possibly make  it.  On these videos, we teach you the math that is on the Florida real estate exam.  The exam is ten per cent math.  It is easier to pass if you get ten out of ten on the math.  Why would anyone spend $31.50 to go take the Florida real estate exam without watching these free videos?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICJEr5Zm6OM  Here is a link.  If you are soon taking the Florida real estate exam, watch these videos.  If you know someone soon to take the exam, send them this link.  They will thank you.  If you have already taken the Florida real estate exam, You know what the math questions are.  Do they look familiar to the ones on my twelve videos?  Are they the same?  Yes, they are.
You need to know how to compute deed stamps.  You need to know how to compute note stamps.  You need to know how to compute intangible tax.  You need to know how to compute interest.  You need to know how to compute acreage.  You need to compute next year's rent in a lease that is indexed to the CPI. You need to be able to compute commission.  If you can't, you will probably be in the fifty four  per cent that are paying $31.50 to try again.

If an applicant took their basic real estate course online from a discount gypsy real estate school that specializes in all fifty states, they have to know that they are at an extreme disadvantage.  If an applicant took their basic real estate course from us, we know that they have been exposed to what is  on the Florida real estate exam.    We don't teach what is on the other forty nine state exams.  Even if you took your online real estate class from us, did you use your notes and books to help you pass the real estate school test.  If you did, be aware that you can not use your books and notes to pass the Florida real estate exam.

How can you know if you are ready for the Florida real estate exam?  It is simple.  Go to my website at www.climerrealestateschool.com Take the practice exam that I have there.  If you make an eighty something on my practice test, you are ready.  If you make less than seventy five on my test, you will probably make less than seventy five on the big one.  Mine is free.  Pearson Vue charges $31.50 per try.

At Climer School of Real Estate, we teach a two day state exam review class.  It is fifteen hours of me telling the applicants what is on the Florida real estate exam.  Most people take this class just a day or two before the take the Florida real estate exam.  Many students call this the real estate exam "cram course".  Most of the students in this class have already taken the Florida real estate exam.  In January of 2014, I had a young student attend this class that had already taken the state exam sixteen times at $31.50 per try.  He passed on attempt number seventeen.  He sent me an email thanking me for the review class and pondering why he did not seek me out sooner.

If you are soon taking the Florida real estate exam, attend this class.  We teach it at 5104 North Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando.  If you can not attend this class, we have it on video and audio discs.  We also have it online.  Check out the details at www.climerrealestateschool.com  .  Lots of people with a tight budget don't attend the class but the buy the textbook, Linda Crawford's "Exam Manual".  This is the least expensive, best study aid you can lay your hands on. Call Kathy at 407 822 3926 for the details on that.
