The performance statistics are released. They are true and they are again very bad.

Pearson Vue, the Bureau of Education & Testing (BET), and the Florida Division of Real Estate (DRE) released their July 2019 Exam Performance Summary numbers for the Florida Real Estate license state exam. The numbers are depressing as usual.

Anyone that knows me know that I am against this. I believe that the passing percentage rates should be higher. I think it’s an unfair filter. In my opinion, the question writers for the state exam seem to be more interested in tricking you into a wrong answer than they are at testing your actual knowledge.

I also believe that if the state of Florida and the question writers in Florida Real Estate wanted more people to pass, then more people would pass. It’s a good thing they don’t want more people to fail. I’m sure they can make that happen as well.

First Time Florida Sale Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

In July 2019, 3,156 people took the Florida Sale Associate Real Estate license state exam for the first time. 1,528 of them pass and 2,909 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 48% in a failing rate of 52%.

This is really the same as usual: very bad.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Sale Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

2,909 people took the Florida Real Estate Sale Associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 900 of them passed while 2,909 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 31% with a failure rate of 69%.

This is just downright dismal. How can so many people fail the exam even after they’ve already been through the experience one time? It has to be their school and their training.

First Time Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

259 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in July. 149 of them passed and 110 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 58% for first timers with a failure rate of 42% for first timers.

Again, this is in the normal range. I guess many of them in the 42% did not come to the Climer School.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

199 individuals took the Florida Real Estate brokers state exam for second time or for repeated time. Only 69 of them passed while 130 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 35% with a failure rate of 65%.

This is so bad. How can so many people fail the multiple-choice exam? Again, has to be their school choice and their training.

From July 2018 to July 2019, 37,773 people took the Florida Sale Associate Real Estate license state exam for the first time. 15,530 of them pass and 16,243 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 49% in a failing rate of 51% for a full 12 months.

From July 2018 to July 2019, 34,209 people took the Florida Real Estate Sale Associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 10,437 of them passed while 23,772 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 31% with a failure rate of 69% for a full 12 months.
This is pretty. All of these people failed the exam again and they had already been through the experience one time. It is probably their school and their training.

First Time Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers July 2018 to July 2019

From July 2018 to July 2019, 2,812 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in July. 1,706 of them passed and 1,106 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 61% for first timers with a failure rate of 39% for first timers for a full 12 months.

This is now considered the normal range. I bet that many of them in the 39% did not come to the Climer School.

From July 2018 to July 2019, 2,253 individuals took the Florida Real Estate brokers state exam for second time or for repeated time. Only 841 of them passed while 1,412 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 37% with a failure rate of 63% for a full 12 months.

In June 2019, 2,759 people took the Florida Sale Associate Real Estate license state exam for the first time. 1,206 of them pass and 1,379 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 47% in a failing rate of 53%.

This is really the same as usual: very bad.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Sale Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

2,610 people took the Florida Real Estate Sale Associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 762 of them passed while 1,848 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 32% with a failure rate of 68%.

This is just downright dismal. How can so many people fail the exam even after they’ve already been through the experience one time? It has to be their school and their training.

First Time Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

196 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in June. 123 of them passed and 73 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 63% for first timers with a failure rate of 37% for first timers.

Again, this is in the normal range. I guess many of them in the 39% did not come to the Climer School.

158 individuals took the Florida Real Estate brokers state exam for second time or for repeated time. Only 49 of them passed while 109 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 31% with a failure rate of 69%.

Be Your Own Person! Don’t Try To Be Someone Else or Attack Them Negatively

Because of social media it’s pretty easy to see when smaller real estate companies are copying other larger real estate companies in smaller schools or copying other larger schools.

There are companies and brokers who are big “wanna be” players in real estate and copy other major large real estate brokerages. At the same time, they own a small real estate school and copy us as well as put us down.


I love it when I see on social media what these people is doing. It may bother some people but I love it. Now I know I’m getting under their skin.


When they first opened their school and I checked them out, I noticed that they had designed their real estate brokerage to look very similar to another extremely large real estate brokerage that started in the Central Florida area.


The individual who started the large real estate brokerage it is extraordinarily successful has a very strong, positive reputation while the individual that has the tiny real estate brokerage that wants to be a big player, not so much.


Then I noticed that a lot of their marketing and posts were directed at either copying us or tearing us down. Sometimes, ineffectually, there was an attempt to do both simultaneously. Even recently, I noticed they started rushing to post on a subject that we had been blogging on for years and years.


They don’t seem to understand, you can’t rush or fabricate success or character. Success and character come naturally. Character shines through.


When you have low character, everybody around you knows it and they let everyone else know even if you’re not aware that they let everyone else know. It takes a long time to turn that around.


The most successful people in real estate are the ones who build a career on the strengths of their character and ethics. They don’t have to rely on tearing other people down. They don’t have to rely on mimicking and stealing other people concepts and claiming it has their own.


The cream always rises to the top. You have it or you don’t.


I tell all of my classes, if you are experiencing negative results, patterns, and cycles, you may need to investigate internally, not externally. There is ugly, toxic energy inside of you that needs to be addressed and dealt with.


This toxic energy must be purged. Until then, you will continue to experience the same negative results patterns and cycles.


External bells, whistles, tools, and technology will not help.


It’s like putting lipstick on a pig. It’s not an easy path, but it’s worth it. It hurts going in is going to hurt coming out.

2,746 people took the Florida Real Estate sales associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 868 of them passed while 1,878 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 32% with a failure rate of 68%.

This is just downright dismal. How can so many people fail the exam even after they’ve already been through the experience one time? It has to be their school and their training.

248 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in May. 151 of them passed and 97 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 61% for first timers with a failure rate of 39% for first timers.

We’ve always believed it is very important to have a warm, friendly, and inviting presence. At The Climer School of Real Estate, we have gotten a lot of students this way. They feel we have the best real estate class because we are so fun and friendly.

The Most Fun Real Estate Students in Florida!

We have been told countless times the reason why students apply to us is because we were so friendly on the phone and friendly when they came in. We heard numerous stories about how the other schools, including many big ones that you have heard of, were very hurt and cold and unfriendly, and arrogant on the phone or to them in person.


 To me, it seems like that after a while, many people in real estate forget they are in sales. Many real estate licensees seem to get extraordinarily arrogant and conceited about being in real estate. We believe that you have to treat every prospect and customer like it’s your first and most important one.


This works for us.


 My question is, do you think it’s important? How important is it to work for a real estate brokerage that your customers feel good about when they walked in the door? There are some offices that we walk into and everybody is smiling, happy, easy-going, and friendly. They go out of their way to make us and everyone else feel good about being there. We feel it.


 There are other offices, including some big and well-known ones, and you walk in and people don’t greet you, no one will say hello, they ignore you, and they act like they are just too cool to be bothered with you. Needless to say, this type of behavior attitude just blows me away, especially inside a real estate broker’s office.


 I was in an office very recently, again a big well-known franchise brokerage office. This office had well over 100 agents, with a huge card rack on the wall immediately to the left of the front door main entrance. As I did not know this office very well, I began scanning the cards to see if there is anyone that I recognized. What I noticed almost immediately is how many of the licensees’ business cards violated the Florida Real Estate Commission’s (FREC) advertising rules.



 I asked the agent services coordinator, who by the way it also did not come out to introduce yourself to a new guest in the office, who the compliance officer was. When she told me that there was no compliance officer, I asked her if I could show her something to tell her broker. I mentioned that I give seminars on just the subject all over the state with many offices in many associations and I was just trying to keep everybody out of trouble and help. When I very quietly explained to her what was going on, she looked at me like I was the biggest idiot she ever met.



 But the larger issue is the overall unfriendliness. And you wonder where it comes from. Why are some offices so warm and inviting while other offices are so cold and uninviting? Do customers and prospects who either walk in off of the street or who come in for a first-time appointment feel the same differences? And does it matter?



 I tend to feel that it is important however it may just be me. This may not matter at all. Are there as many unfriendly real estate customers and prospects out there as friendly ones? Do the unfriendly and stiff customers and prospects gravitate towards the unfriendly and stiff real estate offices? Do the friendly and more easy-going customers and prospects gravitate towards the friendly and easy-going real estate offices?



 So, is everybody happy no matter what I think? In the question remains, is that important?

By the way, let your friends know: We have a 2-week Spanish Real Estate License class beginning May 20th, a 5 Week Evening Real Estate License class in Daytona beginning on May 28th and a 1 Week Real Estate License class beginning on June 1st.

Pearson Vue and the Bureau of Education & Testing released their April 2019 Exam Performance Summary numbers for the Florida Real Estate license state exam. The numbers are as bad as usual.
I still believe that this is on purpose. The questions on the state exam seemed to be more directed at tricking the test takers into wrong answers than they seem to be in testing the test takers’ knowledge.

This is exactly why The Climer School of Real Estate is still the best Real Estate school in Florida. We are the only Real Estate school in Florida that focuses on teaching our students how to beat and PASS the state exam at its own game. We don’t teach you to be an expert in the book. That is our job, not yours. Your job is to pass the state exam one time.

First Time Florida Sales Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

in April 2019, 2,758 people took the Florida sales associate Real Estate license state exam for the first time. 1,392 of them pass and 1,366 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 50 % in a failing rate of 50%.

In other words, the same as usual: horrible.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Sales Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

2,786 people took the Florida Real Estate sales associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 831 of them passed while 1,955 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 30% with a failure rate of 70%.

This is just downright dismal. How can so many people fail the exam even after they’ve already been through the experience one time? It has to be their school and their training.

First Time Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

243 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in April. 153 of them passed and 90 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 63% for first timers with a failure rate of 37% for first timers.

Again, this is in the normal range. I guess many of them in the 37% did not come to the Climer School.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

200 individuals took the Florida Real Estate brokers state exam for second time or for repeated time. Only 62 of them passed while 138 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 31% with a failure rate of 69%.

This is so bad. How can so many people fail the multiple-choice exam? Again, has to be there school choice and their training.

in March 2019, 2,580 people took the Florida sales associate Real Estate license state exam for the first time. 1,307 of them pass and 1,273 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 51 % in a failing rate of 49%.
In other words, the same as usual: horrible.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Sales Associate Real Estate License State Exam Test Takers

2,619 people took the Florida Real Estate sales associate state exam for second or for repeated time. 825 of them passed while 1,794 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 32% with a failure rate of 68%.
This is just downright horrible. How can so many people fail the exam even after they’ve already been through the experience one time? It has to be their school and their training.

First Time Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

258 people took the Florida Real Estate brokers license state exam for the first time in March. 144 of them passed and 114 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 56% for first timers with a failure rate of 44% for first timers.
Again, this is in the normal range. I guess many of them in the 44% did not come to the Climer School.

Second Time and Repeated Florida Brokers License State Exam Test Takers

180 individuals took the Florida Real Estate brokers state exam for second time or for repeated time. Only 75 of them passed while 105 of them failed. This is a passing rate of 42% with a failure rate of 58%.
This is so bad. How can so many people fail the multiple-choice exam? Again, has to be there school choice and their training.
